Ghent Flanders Festival is always on the lookout for unique combinations. Last year’s “De Tuin van Eden” expertly combined the pleasures of music with the joy a good wine can bring. Hilde Jonckheere—Belgium’s leading wine expert (Prosper Montagnée)— and the musicologist Dr. Jelle Dierickx decided to bundle their expertise and inspiration for a very special night indeed.
 
In 2010, they will go one step further. To the rhythm of baroque classics, you will be ushered into a sumptuously decorated 17th-/18th-century concert venue. Pick a Venetian mask that matches your mood and then let Hilde Jonckheere treat you to a series of exceptional wines. While enjoying live baroque music, you will have the opportunity to taste some true delicacies. Once immersed in this dreamlike ball, you are even welcome to dance to the music.
