Flanders Festival International Ghent treats you to a superb cycling tour through East Flanders province. Come taste a journey along scores of musical gems in fairy-like squares, cosy little chapels, a romantic castle, a sublimely refurbished farm…You will be treated to music in all its shapes and guises, from refreshing classical music to baffling musical installations, with a healthy helping of fiery flamenco to set you ablaze.
Each concert lasts about 30 minutes and is repeated three times, allowing everyone to cycle at their own pace.
This year we'll start (between 11:00 and 12:30 pm) in the center of Lokeren, situated 20 kms from Ghent. Ending is estimated around 18:00 pm at the same place. In between, just study the time schedule and choose your concert-stops accordingly. Last year, over 3000 music enthusiasts went cycling with us!
The Festival will, of course, be there to accompany the cyclists. There will be a sufficient number of stops to accommodate both seasoned and occasional cyclists. We have foreseen sufficient stops in order to provide you with a relaxing atmosphere.
Last year, the event was sold out after only a few days. Don't wait too long to make up your mind, because this a a truly unique experience! Children are more than welcome!
